Principal required for a Prestige Main Dealer in Somerset.

Our client is looking for an experienced Dealer Principal to join their successful team in Somerset to create and develop a strong, stable and sustainable business environment, maximising customer/employee attraction and retention, thereby producing minimum budgeted levels of profit and return, on investment, within Group procedural guidelines

Main Duties:

*Achieve as a minimum, the agreed sales and business objectives together with the agreed company profit, by efficient use of resources
*Create and implement the business marketing plan, taking into account business opportunities for all appropriate departments
*Ensure the staff induction and appraisal process is applied to all relevant staff, ensuring appropriate training and development takes place
*Maintain and develop structured processes within the business to deliver high levels of customer service, financial reporting and administrative control
*Ensure regular team training and coaching sessions to enhance team skill base including customer awareness
*Cascade information to staff on a regular basis regarding the Dealership, Group and Manufacturer
*Arrange regular departmental and management meetings that encourage feedback and ideas from staff, follow up ideas as appropriate
*Review with Departmental Managers on a monthly basis, performance against budget using all relevant management information including DOC’s and KPI’s. Identify and analyse any negative trends that develop, ensuring appropriate remedial action is taken
*Create and maintain good working relationship with the manufacturer. Ensure the continuation of the franchise on terms agreeable to the company, maximizing all business opportunities that are available through the franchise
*Implement group schemes, monitor their effectiveness and update payment levels and systems as required to ensure recruitment retention and motivation of competent staff is kept within budget constraints
*Ensure the business operates within all current legislation particularly with regard to Health and Safety, European and UK Employment Law
*Ensure poor performance and conduct issues relating to staff are resolved in line with Group Human Resources guide lines
*Ensure a constant review of products and processes, from both franchise and external sources in order to add value and profit to the business
*Using latest retail initiatives and IT technology, ensure the business is restructured as and when necessary, taking into account new ideas to increase efficiency, maximize sales revenue and costs
*Keep updated with the FCA Compliance Assessment, working within the Insurance Code of Business guidelines
*Keep within the Dealership specified capital expenditure limits as appropriate

Motor Trade experience is essential as a Dealer Principal / General Manager within a large Dealership and a history of employment stability is very important.
