Data Operations Manager

Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year

The Data Operations Manager role will actively seek out new data feeds that complement our existing datasets which will help us provide insight across a broader set of dimensions.

You should have strong data literacy and an understanding of data flows, APIs and ETL processes.

The role will be responsible for establishing new usage agreements and partnering with our data and technology teams to ensure data is captured in our data lake.

It will also be responsible for ensuring we apply consistent data definitions, that documentation is clear and effective, and for ensuring we comply with data security and protection protocols.

Main responsibilities:

* Identifying data sources: identifying key sources of data and information to help streamline the data acquisition approaches and to strengthen our performance insights

* Managing data relationships: developing and maintaining strong relationships with external data providers, internal users of our data, our technology teams and other key stakeholders

* Building efficiencies: identifying new ways of acquiring data to make our approaches more efficient and our datasets more complete

* Ensuring our data definitions and related documentation is maintained and improved

* Partnering with stakeholders across the business to make sure we utilize the data we collect to its full potential

* Experience in managing data partnerships with external suppliers

* Experience in building and maintaining data documentation

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Knowledge of utilizing a variety of tools to transform data structures

* Advanced Excel Skills, exposure to SQL or equivalent platforms
