Customer Service – Customer Service Representative
Full job description
HSBC
Salary: £26,000 per year
Customer Service Representative, Southampton
Salary: £26,000per year
You don’t have to look far to reach your full potential. We will offer you on-site parking and free shuttle buses from Southampton Central, Swanwick train station and the airport.
This role offers an attractive total reward package with an annual discretionary bonus, flexible benefits, excellent pension scheme and employee discounts.
Working on eight-hour shifts, your team will be active between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and you won’t be asked to work weekends or bank holidays.
You’ll play a key role within one of our UK Contact Centres, speaking to existing customers and helping them with their servicing enquiries, delivering an excellent service. It’s all about taking personal ownership for our customers’ issues – understanding their unique situations and reacting with efficiency, fairness and positivity to maintain our reputation and drive confidence in our products and services.
If you’re a customer-focused individual, ready to go above and beyond to make banking better, this is a great opportunity, in an exciting, team environment that prioritises service – not sales. You’ll also support your colleagues by coaching and guiding less experienced team members, and identifying opportunities to improve our existing processes. We’re looking for driven professionals, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships, as an ambassador for HSBC.
In return, we’ll do everything we can to help you thrive in our sociable working environment. We’ll give you plenty of support, with two weeks of full-time comprehensive training both in the classroom and with support in the live call centre environment, as well as ongoing coaching and mentoring to grow your knowledge of our products and services. Your hard work will be recognised. And, as you progress, your manager will help you plan a structured career path, setting clear goals and providing feedback to help you achieve them. You’ll have all the individual development opportunities you need to go further, not just here, but in other areas of the business – maybe even another part of the world.
Depending on your individual circumstances, you could have the opportunity to apply for our award winning graduate and apprentice schemes.
So join our team, and if you’ve got plenty of ambition, you could take your career anywhere with us.
Just follow the link to begin your application. You’ll need to create a profile and complete an online judgement test, so you can get a feel for what the role is really like. If you’re successful we’ll arrange a telephone interview to get to know you better before arranging a face-to-face interview.
HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count. We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development, flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment. Personal data held by the Bank relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement, which is available on our website.
