The Role-
Reporting directly into the Quality Manager, the role of Customer Quality Engineer (resident) is to act as the key customer contact for all quality issues. As Customer Quality Engineer, you will:

* Provide immediate response and manage the associated corrective actions with any quality issues raised.
* Provide regular feedback to the client and internal departments through regular reporting mechanisms
* Work closely with internal staff to improve the quality of the company’s products
* Carry out internal audits and report findings
* Ensure all customer concerns are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner
* Attend client meetings to resolve quality issues

The Person
Time served / apprenticeship / HND equivalent, as Customer Quality Engineer, you will have a background in an automotive quality and be well versed in TS 16949, Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen, Six Sigma and 5S. You will need to have significant exposure to the injection moulding, paint and assembly process in your previous employment.
You will be strong problem solver and be confident in communicating directly with the customer and internal manufacturing staff. Previous experience and understanding of quality systems, TS16949 and project management are essential. Good customer and supplier focus is a pre-requisite for this position.
