Salary: £60,000 – £84,000 per year

Position Summary

Responsible for setting and delivering the strategy of the Malaysia business, working with the Regional Managing Director (RMD) – Asia, to ensure profitable business growth. This position will be responsible for the operational management, leadership and the day-to-day operating activities; including, revenue and sales growth, talent acquisition and development to ensure there is a robust internal team to meet the needs of the planned expansion.
Active participation in driving business development to raise brand profile and to be seen as a knowledge expert within our three business sectors of IT, Engineering and Telecommunications. This position reports to the Regional Managing Director – Asia.

Main Responsibilities

Business and Operational Development:
* Direct business development and networking activities to grow new accounts, expand business relationships, opportunities and increase both NFI and operating contribution;
* Represent the organisation at conventions, seminars and customer industry associations to raise the company profile;
* Participate with team members in presentations and sales visits to prospective clients;
* Ensure that the country adheres to operational standards and meets all legal requirements;
* Work with peers and Sector Managing Directors to develop and manage relationships and sales through new and key accounts.

People:
* Working in conjunction with HR, oversee the implementation of the regional people plan including performance management, salary reviews, resource planning, talent management and learning and development;
* Coach and develop employees who are direct reports, to ensure the companies and individual goals are met;
* Establish effective feedback channels to review performance and address areas of improvement for direct reports;
* Ensure succession planning exists for direct reports within the business;
* Conduct monthly and six monthly reviews with direct reports and teams;
* Ensure the selection, employment and training strategies of employees is appropriate to facilitate the achievement of business objectives;
* Cultivate our vales through personal leadership and the initiation of regional activities and programs.

Client relationship management:
* Develop strategic accounts within country and support where needed to develop our global accounts;
* Attend networking events to develop high level relationships with new and existing clients;
* Build robust relationships with existing clients, to ensure retention and further penetration of market share.

Strategy, finance and reporting:

* Appraise the country performance against established strategies and objectives, including; conducting regular reviews of budget and financial reports;
* Ensure all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal requirements and ethical standards;
* Implement and execute the Group’s sales strategy across the business to ensure sustained and profitable growth, including aggressive sales growth, which is in line with the Group’s overall strategic aims and KPIs;
* Responsible for implementing and executing the region’s business plan with a particular emphasis on operational and sales performance in order to meet budget and other financial goals;
* Monitor sales analysis reports on a regular basis to ensure client retention is maintained.
* Responsible for the country P& L;

Marketing:
* Working with Group Support functions to develop strategy on marketing in country including exhibitions and sales materials;
* Ensure full brand compliance is adhered across our brands.

Communication;
* Enhance communication by fostering a positive environment and open communication;
* Ensure there is an open door policy philosophy across the business;
* Effective complaint handling and resolution for all customers and employees;
* Responsible for inter-company networking and develop relationships to ensure company knowledge is shared.
