Contracts Manager – New Build Housing

West Midlands

Up to £80,000 + Excellent bonus package

My client is a largely successful developer who due to expansion within the region is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to hit the ground running, be an award winner and strive to have all award-winning sites.Future progression to Construction Director in the future would also be on the table for the right person.

Roles & Responsibilities

Build, develop and motivate the site construction team
Manage staff performance in line with company policies
Ensure site set up is safe, timely and effective
Participate in pre-start meetings
Ensure team involvement to prevent potential problems
Liaise with consultant engineers to ensure all information is available on site to progress works
Ensure consultant engineers provide all inspections and certification to comply with planning/building regulation requirements
Manage and liaise with all specialised sub-contractors to ensure works are carried out on time and to acceptable standards
Be responsible for Site Health and Safety
Ensure completion dates are met and that developments are adequately resourced
Ensure all sites are working to achieve the NHBC ‘Pride in the Job’ award
Monitor the performance and costs of Suppliers and Sub-contractors
Confident oral and written communication skills
Effectively manage time in order to meet deadlines
The ideal candidate

Current experience within a contract management role for a new build developer-minimum of 3years
Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislation
Experience of Partnership arrangements
Up to date relevant knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Be prepared to work within a large geographical area
