An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consulting Director based in Stratford-Upon-Avon to join an expanding company that was formed in 1999 by the owner, who had worked in the IT industry for 20 years, having held key leadership roles in both outsourcing organisations and customers going through the outsourcing process..
As a Consulting Director your duties will be to:
• Lead, manage and be accountable for the Consultancy team
• Work with the other members of the leadership team to manage and drive the business forward
• Play a key role and contribute to the future strategy of the company
• Business planning, analysis and reporting
• Contribute consulting leads from own network
• Provide marketing support and collateral
• Support the team in developing new propositions and methodologies
• Speak at relevant events and conferences on sourcing topics
• Structure, write and sell consulting proposals
• Develop and manage your own portfolio of clients
• Able to deal with clients at all levels within their organisation
• Maintain strong relationships
• Supervise and deliver their client projects and ensure projects are within scope, budget, and meet or exceed our client`s expectations (Note, projects are mainly in UK and Europe, but some long distance travel may be required)
An ideal Consulting Director will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Can be based from home anywhere within a practically commutable distance of Stratford-upon-Avon and London.
• Ideally a graduate although not essential, but certainly a demonstrably good level of education and above average intellectual capability.
• Experience of working in outsourcing either as an advisor at principal consultant level, for a vendor, or within an enterprise.
• Work experience with progressively increasing level of leadership responsibility.
• Experience in consulting, professional services and business development, with a good personal network in the industry.
• Solid experience in structuring and selling propositions in response to client need.
• Relevant professional accreditation(s) are desirable.
• Experience delivering projects for a management consultancy firm, outsourcing vendor or enterprise.
• Ability to summarize and communicate project findings verbally, numerically and graphically through presentations.
• Project/assignment management and delivery skills.
• Ability to deliver on time and with an attention to detail.
• Broad and well-developed analytical skills – able to develop and analyse detailed spreadsheets.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills, including sales, running C-level workshops, public speaking and being interviewed by the business press.
• Organisational skills including very good time management and project management.
• A good self-starter, able to manage own time with minimal input when required.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite especially Word and PowerPoint and Excel).
• Be a self-motivated high-achiever and team player used to working in consultancy delivery environment.
• Possess the intellectual dexterity to manage multiple and sometimes complex and diverse business simultaneously.
• Proven ability as a leader and people manager.
• Has the ability to get to the root of a complex problem, a lateral thinker.
• Possess commercial/profit orientated business acumen.
In return you will receive a salary of basic salary circa £120,000per annum commensurate with experience plus the following benefits –
Bonus expected to be c20-40%, Car Allowance/Mileage: Mileage is paid in accordance with the company expenses policy, 25 days plus public holidays and Life Cover: 4 x basic salary.
