Background

My client requires a Compressor Technician – Electrical to join a small team of technicians based in Kirriemuir who are responsible for the operation & maintenance of their base compressor station along with supporting activities at other compressor stations & transmission pipelines.

The Role

Ensure the completion of maintenance in accordance with the client’s policy & procedures
Carry out all works in a safe & cost effective manner by keeping up to date with technical advances & industry standards
Prepare reports of activities as required to satisfy the client with regards to technical matters
Participate in the design & costing of minor modification work
To prepare plans & procedures for operations that may affect the network, for liaising with control room staff & take part in the authorisation process for non-complex tasks when necessary
Oversee activities carried out by contractors on site in the absence of an Assistant Engineer, MDE or GFE TechniciansYou

Time served apprenticeship
Experience in a similar role
BTEC or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Current valid driving licence
