Electrical Maintenance Technician

* Gateshead, Tyne & Wear

* £42,000 – £44,400 per annum

* Full Time, Permanent

* Shifts: 1 week of days, 1 week of nights

A large manufacturing company with sites throughout the UK and abroad is on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician.

The successful candidate will provide electrical engineering support to the maintenance department and improve plant and equipment uptime as well as carry out breakdown repairs and routine maintenance in all areas.

Responsibilities:

* Reactive and planned preventative maintenance

* Fault finding on a range equipment including Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLCs, Servo Drives, and Inverters

* General plant maintenance of switchgear

* Occasional project work and installations

Knowledge and Experience:

* Time served in Electrical Engineering, HNC preferred

* Experience of working in a heavy manufacturing environment

* Background in machine tool maintenance
