Compliance Officer

Salary: £14.4 – £18 per hour

Kind Consultancy is working with a successful national Financial Services network which is now seeking a Compliance Officer to join them on a six-month contract basis, with the potential to move to a permanent role upon completion. The role will be home-based, requiring travel to the London office once every two months. The Compliance Officer will support the Compliance department in their operational activities, with key responsibilities including:

* Pro-actively and re-actively delivering Compliance support to the network’s members

* Maintaining Operational Compliance template documents

* Supporting the team in internal policy reviews

* Contributing to regular Compliance communications on behalf of the organisation and their website

* Supporting the monitoring and review of the “Minimum Standards” across the membership

* Responding to member queries on Compliance matters, via telephone and e-mail

* Acting as a Subject Matter Expert on Compliance technical matters for any queries from colleagues

* Supporting member firms on any remedial actions arising from audits

Our ideal candidate for the Compliance Officer contract:

* Has demonstrable experience of interpreting regulatory requirements in a Commercial Finance environment and implementing those requirements within business operations

* Has strong document and process design skills

* Has a track record of supporting businesses through the Compliance function

* Has a good understanding of UK lending and broker distribution channels

* Is an analytically-minded problem-solver

* Has well-developed communication, presentation, training and coaching skills

* Has very strong knowledge of UK Financial Services regulation, ideally including knowledge of CONC and the FCA Handbook

* Having experience of implementing and embedding regulatory requirements via systems and controls would be highly desirable, as would experience of competence tracking, business operations and designing, delivering and evaluating training
