Salary: £42,000 per year
Our client is a fast growing national law firm with a good modern culture and good career prospects at all levels.
They are looking to increase their Compliance Team and are keen to find an experienced Compliance Advisor who has been doing a similar role in a legal firm.
You will support the team with a range of tasks which ensure and underpin the Group Risk and Compliance Strategy. You will be charged with actively raising the profile of risk and compliance and promoting a compliance culture across all group companies.
So, you will be totally familiar with law firm operations and the compliance framework which they operate.
You will have strong leadership skills and be able to build strong working relationships at all levels, able to use your communications skills effectively, especially when writing and delivering presentations.
You will be positive, pro-active, ambitious and a good problem solver.
You will be able to work at Group level with a diversity of brands.
Your day to day role will be:
* Assisting in developing implementing, maintaining and enhancing applicable policies, procedures and controls of the organisation.
* Researching and advising on various compliance issues and responding to ad hoc queries from the Group in relation to these areas.
* Providing expert guidance on the application of applicable regulation and internal policies in particular with respects to client and matter inception process, conflicts and financial crime compliance.
* Assisting with claims and complaints management where required.
* Handling data protection breaches and responding to individuals requests to enforce data protection rights.
* Identify, implement and monitor processes to prevent instances of non-compliance.
* Undertake training that is required in order to perform the duties of the role.
Please note you will from time to time be required to travel to group offices throughout the UK.
