Compliance Advisor

This is an exciting role for a Compliance Advisor to work within this expanding organisation, great development opportunities exist for the right person.

The Compliance Advisor will ensure that all relevant pension regulations and legislation are analysed, with particular emphasis on auto enrolment and occupational pension schemes, with impact assessments on the business are carried out.

The Compliance Advisor will provide guidance and support to the business on other regulatory issues particularly in relation to the Pensions Regulator, auto enrolment and occupational pension schemes.

The Compliance Advisor will support the Regulatory & Compliance Manager and other members of the team on regulatory and compliance issues, when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

To ensure that the business’s Insurance and Financial Services products meet regulatory
requirements.

Reviewing all relevant legislation and regulatory issues, with the emphasis on pension legislation and to analyse the impact for the business and to disseminate information to all relevant business areas in a clear and concise manner.

Support the business areas regarding regulatory requirements, supporting development of processes, procedures and controls particularly in relation to the Pensions Regulators requirements – with emphasis on auto enrolment and occupational pension schemes.

Providing support to the business on complex (including complaint) cases relating to pension regulation and scheme rules.

Provide training to staff, where required on regulatory matters.

Undertaking audits across the organisation in line with the compliance monitoring program with the objective of working with the business areas to develop “best practice” and to escalate risk issues to the Regulatory Compliance Manager.

To fully investigate any non-compliance issues within the business and ensure that remedial action is taken within a satisfactory and timely manner.

Approval of financial promotions ensuring that they meet “best practice” and regulatory requirements.

Provide support for the compilation of statistics and management information.
