Communications Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Communications Officer to work for a Central Government department at their amazing offices in central London. Previous campaign experience is essential as you will be involved in some exciting, high profile projects.

You will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills:
* Develop campaigns advice and ideas to help meet campaigns objectives.
* Write concise, tailored and engaging copy to bring stories and ideas to life for a variety of audiences, tailoring the message to the channel.
* Speak persuasively and with authority a variety of audiences.
* Network effectively with the media and counterparts in external companies, NGOs and other government departments.
* Coordinate logistics for campaign events such as media facilities.

Communications Officers will report to a Senior Communications Officer and will be on the front line of the clients communication activity. Responsibilities will include:
* Delivering individual aspects of communications campaigns, working right across the communications mix.
* Working across campaigns, juggling a busy workload to contribute to campaigns from planning to execution and evaluation.
* Tracking developments in professional communications to ensure the clients campaigns are at the forefront of innovation and creativity.
* Working closely with colleagues across the directorate and the wider department to ensure that campaigns are delivered effectively and in partnership.
* Working across disciplines to develop communications strategies that are innovative and creative in reaching their target audience, and champion the use of digital channels.
