Commissioning Placement Manager

A great opportunity has arisen for a national placement manager to work for a leading learning disabilities support organisation, that provide, residential and supported living services.

You will be required to go our and meet with “the people who require support”, commissioners, social workers, families and other agencies and providers to assess the needs of the individuals, this may include some clinical assessments.

You will also be required to promote the organisation to attract new clients’; this may take place in conferences, exhibitions, open days and forums.

There is up to 60 enquiries per month, that you will deal with to assess if the organisation can offer the services required. Excellent customer service skills are required for this role.

The ideal candidate will have worked with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, ideally within the NHS, local authority or as a Service Manager. You will definitely have knowledge of the care management and funding process alongside previous experience of assessing individual’s needs.

The ideal candidate will also be midlands based as most of the work will fall within the Midlands, East Anglia and the South East.

You will also need to demonstrable negotiation and networking skills with the ability to work autonomously and be flexible in managing your own workload.

You will be providing solutions and have a customer-focused mind-set in providing a professional and confident service.

All successful candidates will be required to take out a new DBS and have all other appropriate checks.
