Commercial Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller

Salary: £48,000 – £66,000 per year

Our client is a rapidly expanding creative marketing agency with many prestigious clients both in the UK and overseas and they are now looking to recruit a Commercial Accountant / Finance Manager / Financial Controller to help guide the next phase of expansion. This is a flexible role so you can go into the office as often as you like other than when required for the occasional business critical meeting.

This is the first finance recruit for the business so this will be a key commercial role partnering key teams across the agency from client management to creative and operations and you will be responsible for setting up robust financial management systems across the business and ensuring a tight and well-ordered financial ship. Tasks to include, but not limited to, the following: –

* Cashflow management including a weekly cashflow snapshot.

* Providing ad-hoc financial analysis to the management team in order to aid their understanding of the overall financial performance of the business, including making proactive suggestions for changes to financial processes where relevant.

* Leading the weekly finance review with the Account Directors to gather all relevant information and ensure the revenue pipeline is accurate and up to date.

* Lead the sales invoicing process within the agency.

* Ownership of creditor and debtor status, updating the team weekly where required.

* Oversee and approve weekly payment runs.

* Owning payroll; ensuring all new starters are communicated to the external accountants and organised on a timely basis.

What we need to see:

* A commercially astute accountant with experience in an industry finance role (experience within a marketing agency would be ideal)

* Advanced Excel skills

* Confident communicator capable of business partnering

* Experience within a high growth business

Our client is offering clear prospects to develop into the Financial Controller and ultimately the Finance Director as the business and the team continues to expand and interviews are ongoing so.
