Collections Advisor in Property

This client is within the property industry. The role is helping recover outstanding rent arrears from tenants.

The role needs someone who can think outside the box to look at each case individually and come up with strategies to recover debt

We are looking for someone who has either; worked in the property industry before doing as similar role or someone with a debt recovery background.

Role Responsibilities

Be able to identify criteria of arrears cases
Review all accounts and agree plans with tenants or housing benefit to recover the arrears within agreed timeframes
Monitor the performance of the arrears plans
Respond promptly to a plan failing
Manage all rent arrears cases through to litigation
Gain a knowledge and awareness of Housing Law and keep up to date with new legislation
Attend possession hearings
Dealing with data entry and system updates.You need to have a minimum 6 months experience in debt recovery, excellent customer service skills, the ability to keep clam and professional at all times and the ability to listen. You must be articulate and able to communicate in writing. You will be required to make difficult decisions and think outside the box to make sure agreements are met.
