Company Profile
An established precision engineering company providing high quality precision engineered components to a wide and varied client base including major blue chip companies are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Workshop Manager.
Job Profile
You will be managing a small team of highly skilled CNC Machinists across both milling and turning. Being directly responsible for all workshop staff and reporting to the Director. You must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and be able to be hands on using the machines when required.
Duties
* Managing a small team of skilled CNC Machinists, millers and turners
* Hands on management of the whole workshop
* Responsible for maintaining stock levels
* Ensuring quality across the workshop
* Working to AS9100 standards
* Placing orders with our suppliers
* Prioritise and organise workload for the workshop
* Develop, design and maintain procedures for the workshop
* Communicate with clients on a technical level when required
* Liaise with the Director and the office
Skills & Experience
* Previous management experience
* Background in precision engineering
* Previous machinist experience (Haas, Hurco, Fanuc)
* Good Communication skills
