SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE JOB: CNC Grinder

Ensuring the best manufacturing techniques are carried out within the Machine Shop by practical application of the most appropriate methods of programming, setting and operation of the machine tool/tools and to stimulate an atmosphere of continuous improvement.

Duties and responsibilities CNC Grinder

* Grinding, internal, external, setting, and operating as required, all machines within the cell.

* Studer S40, 1.6m between centres, and new Danobat HG72-3000, 3m between centres.

* Ensuring that the methods, tooling and fixtures are used effectively to achieve a cost effective quality

* Monitoring the process during manufacture to ensure total process control is maintained.

* Ensuring an energetic pursuit of improved methods. To train on new technology as required by the department, for example CMM equipment.

* Ensuring Quality standards are achieved

* Ensuring that high standards of safety and housekeeping are maintained

* Ensuring that preventative maintenance schedules are strictly carried out.

* Ensuring the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained and updated to reflect current practice.

* Work within a team.

* In addition to these duties, the role holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required.
