CMM Operator

CMM Operator needed for long term contract / temp to perm position in Chester, Cheshire area £26,000 – £32,760 per year PAYE / £26,000 – £32,760 per year LTD (dependent on experience and qualifications) with possible longer term security and career prospects. C.M.M. Operator will be working circa 37hours (Mon – Fri Days with some possible O/T) and may even lead to a permanent role if the candidate performs well in the role.

The successful CMM Operator day to day duties will include:

Loading programs and operating PC-Dmis controlled CMM machines
Receiving and registering any work as necessary
Maintain relevant records and data.
Complete inspection reports.
To follow company H&S guidelines and working safely at all times taking in to account own actions and their impact on others.

To be suitable for this C M M Operator role you must have the following experience / characteristics:

Have worked in an engineering environment.
Ideally will have completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship or be time served.
Be able to use standard dimensional measuring equipment (mic’s, verniers, callipers, gauges etc.)
Able to read engineering drawings.
Must be PC literate.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
Be able to work with the minimum of supervision

To be more suitable for this CMM Operator role it would be more advantageous if you have the following skills / experience:

Relevant Co-ordinate Measuring Machine qualifications / training
Recent experience of operating / programming PC DMIS software
Relevant qualifications in engineering discipline
