Home based role with access to prestigious offices in the Manchester area circa 1-2 times per month

Base Salary £66,000 – £78,000

Solution — The “data” held within Electronic Health records is analysed and interpreted by software and that is subsequently used as a service that advances drug development. The data is used to direct research and deliver tangible benefits to research-based companies – BIG PHARMA developing new pharmaceutical products / drugs. The solutions afford clinical customers a real time “live” searchable database that provides a wealth of information to assist companies’ developing pioneering lifesaving drugs and devices cutting development time, saving money, and impacting the health of millions globally. Their technology connects electronic health records (EHRs) across primary and secondary care, and enables rapid patient recruitment, reduces clinical trial development time and costs. It also increases responsiveness to patient safety through near real-time monitoring. This technology could be applied to any established health economy across the globe. This has the potential to change the way that clinical trials are conducted in the future by ensuring drugs get to market faster and therefore improving patient outcomes.

Role –

The Clinical Research Manager will lead a Team of Clinical Research Nursing professionals who work on and implement high quality clinical trial projects with key customers. The clinical research activities could be focusd within the community or acute care settings or with key partners within the clinical research or pharmaceutical space. The appointred person will lead a team of circa 10 experienced nurses who have experience running clinical research trials. Their core focus will be to establish and develop relationships with stakeholders within the community, acute / b2b focus areas and build brand awareness / drive strategic interest in line with the long term business plan. The Clinical Research Nurse / Nurse Manager leads a team that delivers a wide range of projects and programmes of work, from large clinical trials to EHR data enabled pragmatic clinical trials as well as feasibility studies utilising routinely collected healthcare data. 

Key metrics to success will be –

• Development and implementation of long term clinical trial strategy.
• Acceleration of business development in conjunction with commercial team.
• Rollout and delivery of clincal research projects.
• Perfomance and people management of Clinical Research Team

Candidate –

An experienced COMMERCIAL manager with a nuring background. Candidates will either be leading, building and driving commercial nursing teams witih the research or clinical education space. As such candidates from either a CRO, Medical Device, Medical Consumable or similar company are invited to apply if they have a solid clinical nursing background allied with exceptional commercial management experience.
