Clinical Negligence Nurse

Our client, based close to Wigan, is looking for a Nurse to join their Clinical Negligence Department. The main purpose of the role is to ensure medical records are in order and to prepare a summary of the main events. As well as providing in house medical knowledge.

We are looking for a nurse who has a broad nursing career and has experience of working in a hospital or theatre. This is a desk based role so we are looking for someone who is ready to come away from the hands on nursing role.

Main duties to include:
* Using medical expertise to assist in vetting cases in order to provide a full risk assessment of every potential new matter
* Using medical expertise to review viability of existing cases
* Sorting medical records
* Requesting and returning medical records
* Preparing summaries of medical records
* Control and management of work in progress ensuring that it is recorded and converted into paid profit costs under supervision and direction
* Carrying out administrative duties as appropriate
* Compliance with Client Care and Complaints Procedures in order to minimise the risk of negligence and comply with Law Society Rules
