Salary: £33.6 – £48 per hour
Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist for a role within an existing service in the Peterborough area.
Job Summary
Under the overall co-ordination of the Lead Psychologist, to provide a qualified
clinical psychology service to clients of the Pathway Team, across all sectors of care.
Providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy
Providing advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carers.
Contributing to the training and supervision of non-psychologist staff in psychological interventions and working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and
research within the area served by the team/service. The post does not have any budgetary responsibilities.
To work with clients at the team base, in the and within their own homes. At times there will be lone working in these environments, where there is an expectation to follow the relevant safety protocols.
To work with clients and carers who at times are experiencing high levels of distress and some of whom may become challenging both verbally and physically.
