Class 1 ADR Shunter Driver

Positions: Shunter driver; Class 1 ADR
Temporary position in the first instance with possibility becoming permanent
Location: Knowsley, Liverpool L33
Salary: £26,000per year + overtime after 9 hour shift

Opportunity for an experienced Class 1 ADR Shunter Driver to join a hazardous waste management company.

The Role:

• As a Shunter driver your day to day work will mainly consist of local collections and site transfers across three depots within Knowsley. Duties may require some change occasionally to cover sicknesses and holiday cover. Similarly from time to time there will be a change in shift pattern and nights out.
• 45 hour week working Monday to Friday
• Shift: generally start at 11.00 am through until close; anything between 8pm and 12.00 midnight. Subject to change as required by company workload.
• Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will operate on a month by month rolling contract.
• Driver may be asked to help out in the yard occasionally if there is no shunting required

The Candidates:-

• It is essential to be a Class 1 ADR Drivers
• Have experience as a Shunter driver.
• Be flexible in your working hours in line with the description above, within Monday to Friday
• Good team player.
• Self-motivated.
• Enthusiastic and persistent with the ability to work with limited supervision using your own initiative.

The Company: My client is a large, well established hazardous waste management company operating throughout the UK. They undertake a range of waste management services in various sectors including the disposal of hazardous waste. My client are growing quite significantly.
