Act 1 – The Scene
Our client is one of the largest multiplex cinema operators in the UK and Ireland who are also experiencing successful growth in Europe. They truly believe in hiring and developing talented individuals and creating robust succession plans for the future.
Located in Castle Mall, the heart of Norwich’s vibrant city centre, the cinema is situated on the fifth floor offering a fantastic view of the castle. The site is also surrounded by many other established retail and leisure brands and never sees a dull day.
Act 2 – The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, your role as a Cinema Assistant Manager is to manage the day-to-day running of the cinema, playing a key part in the successful delivery of the Cinema Business Plan, no two days will ever be the same.
You will ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies, delivering consistently high standards across all areas of the cinema. You’ll manage and develop a high performing team that take pride in providing an excellent experience in a friendly and helpful way.
Act 3 – What You Need
– Previous management experience in a customer-facing, fast-paced business in the retail, hospitality, leisure or restaurant sector
– A commercial mind-set with experience of using business reports to make commercial decisions
– Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
– A flexible, confident and resilient approach
– The ability to lead, motivate and inspire your team to achieve the best possible results at all times
– Drive, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour are a must!
– The ability to work early (7am start) and late shifts (3am finish) on a rota basis across all 7 days of the week

Additional Information
Because our client serves alcohol in their cinemas, any Duty Manager is required to hold a personal alcohol licence. This means that if you are successful, soon after your appointment they will need you to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, previously known as a CRB check.
