Children’s Home Residential Senior Support Worker

Salary: £26,208 per year

We are an independent children’s residential company based in Cheslyn Hay, South Staffordshire. We are currently recruiting a senior support worker to work in a brand new 3 bed learning disability home. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people to become the best that they can. We strive to provide outstanding care for young people aged 6-17 with learning disabilities and ASD.

As a senior support worker you will support young people to enhance their life experiences by empowering them to voice their cultural, ethnic, religious, sexual or social diversity and promote their rights as children and young people.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Being a positive role model for our young people

You will run the shift ensuring that young people are fully supported with their day to day routines, to include personal care tasks, administering medication

Support young people to take part in activities in the community and go on holiday

Complete and maintain high standard records for the young people

Encourage independence

Develop and maintain professional working relationships

Attend meetings where you will support the young person to have their voice heard

Essential criteria

You must hold a level three diploma in Children and young people workforce

Experience working in a children’s residential setting

Be able to undertake sleep ins

Hold a full UK driving licence

Salary: £26,208excluding sleep-ins up to £4800 per year
