We have a unique opportunity for an experienced manager to contribute to the operation and development of our Specialist Children’s Services. Sense is a national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind.

Salary: £40,629.6 – £45,602.4 (Inclusive of London Allowance)

About the job

You will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing one of the geographical teams of specialist practitioners providing quality, person centred outreach support to young deafblind people and their families at a key stage in their lives. You will play a key role in the promotion, development and operation of this locality service as well as supporting other parts of the service nationally.

Skills and abilities

We would like to hear from enthusiastic individuals who have a strong professional knowledge and expertise related to delivery of children’s services. Individual’s holding degree level or equivalent and ideally holding a relevant professional or management qualification.

The role will involve working with children and young people with multi sensory impairments so you will need to have a willingness to learn different methods of communication and an understanding of sensory impairments. Experience of working as part of a multi disciplinary team is also essential.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to engage a wide audience to build sustainable working relationships and achieve results.
