CERTIFIED TEST & INSPECTION ELECTRICIAN –
Hours of Work – 3days per week
Salary – Up to £36,000per annum pro-rata
As a Test and Inspection Electrician you will be responsible for carrying out electrical test & Inspections and remedial work ensuring that all tasks and activities are performed to satisfy Quality Plans and Specifications, in accordance with company policies, procedures and Electricity at Work Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• To fulfil adi Electrical’s test and inspection contract on customer sites
• Be responsible for ensuring all testing works are carried out within budget
• Compile a post-testing defect register for the site electrical system
• Identify non-conforming product or materials and provide detailed reports of required remedial works and proposed actions
• Diagnose problems and carrying out fault finding
• Completing remedial works arising out of the inspection visits
• Carry out project works as required
• Ensure all additional works are carried out within budget
• Liaise with the customer as required
• Assisting in the preparation and ensuring all necessary documentation is present for customer visits/audits when necessary.
• To operate to company and agreed procedures on document handling and other relevant data sheets.
• Completion of paperwork as necessary and certification to a high standard.
• To complete all relevant documentation using a PC and communicate these to Head Office
Qualifications:
• 17th Electrical Regulations (C&G 2382) is essential
• Electrical Inspection Test certificates (2391, 2394 or 2395) is essential
• City & Guilds Qualification or NVQ Level 3 (Time served apprenticeship)
• IPAF Mobile Elevating Work Platforms is desirable
• PASMA Tower certificate of Competence is desirable
Experience and Knowledge
• Experience in a similar role within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment. Domestic or Commercial experience will not be considered
• Experience of working in the food and beverage industry would be advantageous
• Proven electrical test and inspection capability
• Competent in interpreting wiring diagrams
• Aware of Crimping – to a high specification
• Checking accurate documentation/ adherence to quality and policy
• Mega testing for continuity and isolation
• Measuring cable lengths
• Able to read and interpret Electrical Schematic Diagrams & Drawings
• Use of MS Offices such as Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
