Catering Supervisor

POSITION: Catering Supervisor

LOCATION: West Park, Leeds (LS16)

DURATION: Temporary role, but on-going. Possible permanent opportunity for the right candidate

HOURS OF WORK: 8am till 2pm Monday to Friday (30hours/week)

KEY DUTIES:
Supervising the catering assistants
Making sure the kitchen is a safe and hygienic place to work
Organising the inventory, storage, and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies
Helping to plan menus, apportion ingredients and use food surpluses
Control portion costs by working out the number of portions per food batch
Cooking the food and ensuring it meets food standards
Train new starters and implement and changes to menu’s etc

PERSON SPECIFICATION
It is imperative you have strong kitchen experience in a restaurant/canteen/pub and can delegate tasks to other staff comfortably and confidently.
You must have experience of food hygiene and working to those standards. Any certificates you can provide will be highly desirable.
You must have a hard working and organised attitude in order to be a strong contender for this position.
This is a busy role and you will have a great team around you to support you too.
