Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client is a specialist vehicle hire company involved in the hire of all categories of vehicles from cars and 3.5 and 7.5 tonne Non HGV vehicles, plus general and specialist HGV 1 & 2 vehicles.
We are urgently seeking suitably qualified individuals to work on an ad-hoc part time or full time basis moving a variety of Category C (HGV 2) vehicles between different branch depots and/or delivering/collecting vehicles from hirers throughout East Anglia and the UK. After delivering vehicles, drivers will be returned to base in a delivery support vehicle – no hitching or public transport travel is required.
Drivers are also required to undertake a comprehensive vehicle inspection at point of delivery/inspection recording any vehicle defects/faults/damage.
Drivers are generally required to start work between 06.30 and 08.00 Monday to Friday as required.
Light vehicle cleaning/valeting may also be required.
Applicants must hold a current Category C (LGV 2) driving licence, a digital tachograph card and a Drivers CPC qualification (if first vocational licence obtained after September 2009).
Additional Non HGV (3.5 and 7.5 Tonne) work is available with the same company at a reduced rate of pay.
