CAD Technician

Salary: £26,000 – £28,800 per year

TRAINING PROVIDED

Our client, an established business supplying their products and services to the Building & Construction Industry and due to expansion currently have a vacancy as CAD Designer to work in their busy design and technical office.

After initial training in company products and procedures you shall report to the Design Team Manager, progressing customer orders from technical enquiries.

The role will involve:

* Dealing with allocated technical contracts

* Ensuring all necessary drawings are produced to a good standard

* Issuing designs and drawings for approval

* Preparing clear and accurate manufacturing drawings and schedules

* Maintaining the project files and quality documentation

* Co-ordinating approvals and customers’ instructions to manufacture

* Corresponding with the customer to request information, communicate problems, notify them of key events or provide technical advice.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

* Applicants should ideally possess a technical qualification related to the building and construction industry (Civil or Structural, Engineering, Architectural Technology, etc.)

* Experience of working in a design office environment.

* It is essential that applicants are proficient in the use of AutoCAD, are computer literate, with a good telephone manner and good communication skills. The ability to work on a stand-alone basis, as well as part of a team, is also required
