CAD Draughtsperson

Are you a recent CAD graduate who is familiar with 3D CAD systems, or have you recently left further education with a qualification in CAD design? Previous work experience is not essential but you must have proven experience of working effectively within agreed timeframes AND be familiar with 3D CAD systems together with the ability to interpret and produce technical drawings. Our client, based in Andover, has a fabulous opportunity to join their team ASAP!

Job Role:

* Correctly interpret customer surveys, drawings and documents from customer requirements and specifications to provide thoroughly considered and 100% accurate bespoke solutions
* Actively convert digital and manual surveys into 3D designs
* Identify missing and conflicting information with customers and documents with aim to resolving in a timely manner
* Initiate approval process and supply customers with final designs via relevant communication methods
* Adhere to company policies and quality standards and ensure compliance of all products/designs
* Liaising with sales advisors, distributors, order entry, manufacturing and installation departments
* Ensuring compliance within UK and overseas manufacturing and regulatory limitations by adhering to, and applying design rules relevant to each country

Required Skills:

* Experience of 3D CAD systems is essential, ideally Solidworks. Some experience of AutoCAD would be desirable
* Must be capable of interpreting customer surveys and producing technical drawings with exemplary attention to detail in order to produce accurate work
* Knowledge of KBM systems and eDrawing is desirable
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Identifying missing or conflicting information from customer surveys or documents, or raising potential issues
* Must be able to work unsupervised, prioritise your workload and be able to demonstrate proven experience of working to tight time constraints
