Thames Reinforcements Ltd is based in Sheerness, Kent. Our state-of-the-art factory is a purpose built rebar plant with a production capacity of 1500 tonnes of CARES approved cut & bent reinforcement every week.

Permanent opportunity to join Thames Reinforcements based in Colwick, Nottingham. We can offer excellent career opportunities. Due to increase projects within the construction industry we are currently recruiting for a Competent AutoCAD Technician to prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD. This role will be office based and Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with liaising with internal and external customers to ascertain fully their needs prior to conversion into the required CAD drawings.

* Learn how to interpret technical requests into drawings in readiness for manufacturing output.

* Work closely with the ‘production staff to assist with any troubleshooting or new developments.

* Assist with any other duties as required by the business in line with your skill set and experience

Requirements:

* Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and 2D/3D experience.

* Be an independent self-starter. Experience with using Autodesk AutoCAD.

* Strong capability using all Microsoft office software

* Have no fear of exploring innovative problem-solving solutions.

* Must be able to work equally as well as part of a team or on your own.

* Be able to agree and meet reasonable time scales for the work required.

* Pay attention to detail and quality with a continuous improvement mind set and ability to multitask.
