Buyer required for a manufacturer at the forefront of their sector, they offer a role of genuine autonomy and responsibility where you will perform a crucial function within the business.

The successful candidate will be a Procurement/Purchasing professional with experience working within an engineering environment. Candidates will need a good technical understanding in order to understand the intricacies of the products you will be working with. You must be confident negotiating with new and existing suppliers whilst maintaining good working relationships.

In this role you will cover all purchasing across the engineering side of the business, with a varied function. You will report into the Production Manager and be required to source new suppliers for existing products and new products coming in, maintain relationships with existing suppliers, and ensuring suppliers supply materials on time and within budget. You will also be required to travel and stay away for around 4 to 5 days a month in total.
