A buyer is required for a busy engineering company based in the Bristol area. You will assist with all day to day purchasing duties and help with smooth running of the Procurement Department.

Key duties will include:
– Expediting purchase orders
– Placing orders
– Obtaining quotes
– Negotiating with suppliers on price/ service and delivery
– Updating orders status on the system
– Communicating any delays and changes internally
– Maintaining supplier and product data on the system
– Analysing various purchasing data and preparing reports
– Inventory control duties
– Cost saving initiatives
– Managing relationships with suppliers
– Setting up suppliers and products on the system

Candidates will have previous experience as a Buyer within a manufacturing / engineering environment. You will have experience of MRP systems.

This is a role where the company are looking for someone to develop within the role. As such, you must be willing to undertake CIPS training or currently be undergoing CIPS training.
