An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Administrator to join a highly successful, not-for-profit family business on a full time basis (25 hours per year – 2 week rolling rota basis). In return, we offer a competitive Salary: £26,000per year plus 28 days holiday (pro rata including bank holidays) rising with service.
We provide quality supported accommodation, residential childcare and leaving care services for vulnerable adults, children and young people across Merseyside.
The Business Support Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an effective, efficient and qualitative business support facility to our Prospect Lodge Service.
Duties will include: To develop and review effective administrative systems and procedures for the collation of records necessary for registrations with regulatory bodies. To develop and review all policies and procedures appertaining to the day-to-day working practices of the Service ensuring that such policies are fed through to Head Office. To work closely with the management team to support the preparation of reports, communications and presentations (undertaking research where necessary), which contribute to the wider management aims and objectives for our support services. To ensure the timely and accurate processing, collating, monitoring and interpreting of financial and budgetary information and maintaining effective protocols for managing petty cash. To ensure a flexible, efficient, and responsive business support service to the teams, including coordination of minutes and meetings, training, photocopying and filing, letters, reports and data input and collation by use of IT systems including email and internet.
The successful Business Support Administrator will have:
An excellent knowledge, understanding and application of Microsoft Office, including Access, Word and Excel.
Experience of working in an office environment within a business administration role.
Practical experience of establishing, monitoring and reviewing effective administrative systems and developing and updating operational policies and procedures and working practices.
Knowledge and experience of working with and developing sound working relationships with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Knowledge and experience of working with confidential data within the regulations of the Data Protection Act.
An understanding of the sensitive nature of the client groups and to the principles of safeguarding vulnerable adults, children and young people.
