Business Development Manager

My client is a leading energy solutions company providing technical engineering, design and project management services across the UK.My client forms part of a larger Group who has enjoyed year on year growth therefore seek to recruit a Business Development Manager to cover the Scottish Region.

Reporting to the Sales & Commercial Director, the key duties of this role will include:

•Prospect new and existing clients ensuring all job specifications are taken and passed to operations
•Drive the companies’ business in the allocated area to achieve and surpass sales targets and business goals and objectives.
•Generate leads for potential sales to new and existing customers.
•Updating and developing new business fundamentals
•Deliver presentations and pitches to clients

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in technical sales whilst having a strong focus on client retention and development. You will be a hands on and diverse individual who can follow the sales path from cradle to grave together with strong business acumen,

As this role will be working within the Industrial and Commercial market, it will be key that the ideal candidate can interact both with clients and sub-contractors to ensure proper design and surveying can be carried out for quotation purposes.

To be considered for the role you must have the following:

•You will have a technical background focusing on Sales & Business Development.
•Ideally you will have worked in a similar position and brought in new business within the Industrial or Commercial sector.
•Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business
•Able to present to employers and build long lasting relationships with clients at all levels.
•Good communication both written and spoken

Although the focus will be on new business, account / client management experience will be important, along with knowledge and contacts within the developers, property companies, and construction market place.
