Business Accountant

Fantastic commercial finance opportunity for a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) to work for one of the most prestigious brands within the automotive industry.

About You

will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a proven track record as a dealership accountant working in partnership with a dealership principle to provide sound technical and commercial finance support. In person you will be inquisitive, proactive and forward thinking with the ability to challenge the norm and bring new ideas for systems and process improvements. Must have experience of Kerridge.

About The Role

You will be based onsite in order to provide significant day to day support to the Centre Principle with remote management of a head office finance team.

Key responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Oversee preparation of Centre balance sheet reconciliations for review with Centre Principal
* Review results of vehicle and parts stock takes ensuring adjustments are made and any errors are accounted for correctly and breaches of Company policies are escalated appropriately.
* Review with Centre Principal forecast and budget expenses ensuring that Head Office fixed cost targets are adhered to.
* Attend centre review meetings as required
* Attend monthly centre financial performance reviews with Centre Principal.
* Discuss results of sales and aftersales debtor reviews on a weekly basis with Centre Management.
* Assist Centre management with the preparation of weekly sales and profit forecasts for the centre. Prepare annual budget and centre full year profit forecasts and with Centre Principal be able to provide detailed comments around deviations from budget/plan.
* Assist centre and centre managers where appropriate with Company policies and procedures to ensure centre is compliant.
* Work with Head office finance team to ensure year end reporting targets and deadlines are achieved.
* Closely monitor centre WIP and Warranty debtors to ensure business is not exposed and unrecoverable amounts are identified early and appropriate action taken.
