Bus Mechanic

Salary and Hours: £13.98per hour. Earliest start time is 05.00 and latest finish time is 12.30pm. (may be required to work nights on occasions where relevant hourly rate would apply )

About the Role:

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Shift Mechanic (minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent experience) based in Swansea. The position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Working as part of the team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties: –

•To diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement in accordance with Central Engineering Standard Operating Procedures.

•Vehicle fault diagnostics and repair.

•To fully comply with all HS & E legislation along with Group policies.

•To fully comply with all relevant Engineering SOPs.

•Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.

•Maintain and develop technical skills as required.

Flexibility in hours of work will be required to ensure all shifts are covered to suit the needs of the business.

A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV license is essential. Full Car driving License is essential as is willingness to be trained in-house to drive PCV vehicles and forklift trucks on our sites if required. Vacancies are subject to Medical and references.
