Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

Our client is one of the world leaders in the power and energy Industry offering a broad spectrum of solutions, primarily focusing upon sustainable, renewable and smart technologies. Its service offering includes products, systems and holistic project delivery solutions for all areas of the BMS and HVAC arena UK wide, and this covers every phase of the contract lifecycle from initial design and bid stages, through to practical build, installation, testing, commissioning, handover and ongoing maintenance.

Due to a number of recent significant long term contract framework awards, and an ongoing commitment to their continued and ambitious growth and portfolio diversification plans, our client is now seeking to appoint a BMS / HVAC Project Engineer who will take the direct and total responsibility for the day to day operations of the provision of the company’s project services, which will be split between home working, office and field or site based activity.

The Role

* Key to your role will involve supporting the organisation to implement an efficient and competitive delivery model for our client’s BMS / HVAC solutions

* During the sales phase act as Solution Designer proposing a state-of-art solution to fulfil customer requirements considering the competitive landscape, whilst maximizing profitability

* Translate customer requirements into technical solutions bespoke to key project drivers

* During the execution phase, act as a Senior Engineer delivering high quality documentation including system architecture, design and detail functional descriptions, control strategy and sequence of operation etc

* During project execution support Project Managers to coordinate and supervise all activities

* Act as the main point of contact for clients, internal teams and any other stakeholders

* Solve technical issues during the project execution stage

* Understand what is offered by competitors to support the sales team to help create an efficient strategy

* Possess a good understanding of a general portfolio of main competitors

* Understand a client’s needs, and help to develop alternatives, then negotiate or promote the company’s preferred solutions

* Develop any efficiency playbooks, such as technical solutions, pricing, delivery models or logistics etc

The Person

* Experienced in a similar role within any area of the industry and a good understanding of the different solutions used in this arena covering any aspect of the BMS or HVAC sector

* Must possess design experience of BMS Systems

* Experience in providing BMS and Control Systems building services including design, maintenance, installation and repair

* Experience in HVAC / BMS with programming and site experience

* Experience of using MS Office suite and AutoCAD

* Ability to commission to a high standard, correcting problems with initial installation if required

* Ability to understand wiring diagrams and O&M Documentation

* The role will involve travel to sites and client locations mostly around Central London

* Possess a relevant degree (Industrial Automation or Engineering or similar) or offer an equivalent level of experience

* Experience of working under H&S procedures, including RAMS

* Possess a flexible and organized approach to your work to support both the leadership of other Engineers, and the hands on the design and technical service delivery elements of your own role
