Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator – required for our client, who are a multi-disciplined Civil Engineering contractor who are based in the Swansea area. They are currently looking for a Bid Writer/ Tender Coordinator to join their expanding team delivering unique and turnkey solutions to difficult construction challenges.

The Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator will be tasked with reviewing tender requirements as they come in, lead bid no bid meetings, write and edit high quality bid responses. The Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator will be able to write effective, concise and compelling content while under the pressure sometimes associated with deadlines.

It would be beneficial if the candidate has experience with Estimating/ Bid Management / Site Management / Site Agent or QS roles. As well as an understanding of temporary works and construction sequence – risks, costs and schedule implications. Producing cost estimates. H&S.

Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator Position Overview

Review tender requirements
Co-ordinating the bid response
Co-ordinate and submit good standard bids in both the public and private sectors.
Produce bid material
Working alongside the rest of the team in project managing bids and tenders
Putting together winning tender submissions.
Coordinate with subcontractors for technical data input and liaise with estimators to obtain the information they need for pricing.

Bid Writer / Tender Coordinator Position Requirements

Degree within suitable discipline
Previous experience working as a Bid Writer
Knowledge of the construction and / or civil engineering industry
Ability to understand technical concepts and tender questions
Superb English writing, grammar, spelling and vocabulary
Strong commercial awareness and experience
Based within a commutable distance of Swansea
Driving Licence
