Bid writer – Construction – Lancashire 

We are currently working with a main contractor based in Lancashire, who are a leader in refurbishment and decarbonisation of housing across the UK. Established over 40 years ago, they have a turnover in excess of £30 million more than 50 employees, they have enjoyed a sustained period of growth and are looking to add to the commercial teams

You will be working on several projects for local councils and housing associations across the UK on a range of construction refurbishment projects ranging from £10,000 to £1,000,000 in value. You will work with the business development manager, internal resources and the supply chain to identify, compile and respond to tenders for small projects through to full turn key refurbishments covering windows, doors, solar PV, battery installations, roofing replacement, heating and plumbing and loft and cavity insulation with local councils, city councils and housing associations.

You will tender for a variety of projects as you will become a key member of the commercial team with the responsibility to grow the business. The role will be based at the head office in Lancashire, but will tender for projects throughout the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands 

The role will suit an experienced bid writer, proposals writer or bid manager from a specialist construction sub contractor or contractor in the social housing, commercial building refurbishment or heritage building refurbishment.

The modern offices offer excellent transport links, with plenty of parking, just a couple of minutes from the motorway and easily commutable from Manchester and Liverpool. The salary on offer is dependent on experience but will be circa £36,000 for an experienced construction bid professional. As the company develops the opportunity to progress in to management of a bid team is the probable development opportunity. In addition there will be the potential for a company bonus linked to company growth.
