Bid Writer

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bid Writer to join a small but established team based in Basildon as part of an asbestos removal contractor who work across a number of different projects.

You will be working on a range of tenders and bids with extensive PQQ’s and as such experience with these is a must.

Duties include acknowledging preparing tenders, writing stage 1 responses, drafting and editing stage 2 responses, acting as lead on client tender clarification and project managing tenders up to pre-submission/completion stage. Generally, assist the Group Commercial Manager and the bid team.

The successful applicant must be fully conversant with all aspects of ITT/PQQ and bid collation with a minimum of 12 months experience and traceable work history. Must be fully conversant with the protocols associated with licensed asbestos removal and allied trades, demonstrating compliance with all accreditations such as CHAS, Constructionline, Safe Contractor, etc.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of literacy and good communication skills, in person, on the phone and in written correspondence. Confident in the use of Media packages including MS PowerPoint. Full training will be given on in-house systems
