Bid Writer – Sheffield
Bid Writer – a leading building contractor is searching for a Bid Writer to join the expanding pre-construction team based in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to play a key role in the successful work winning team of a privately-owned contractor to deliver award winning projects across commercial, education, high-rise accommodation, student accommodation, retail and leisure sectors ranging from £20m – £60m.

Required Experience:
They should have a background of Bid Writing/Bid Management/Design Management with experience in this type of role, and in undertaking multiple bids at any time.
Experience in a similar role for schemes over £10m is vital to this role. Retail and commercial experience is useful but not essential.
* Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:
* Relevant Honours Degree or equivalent
* Proven track record of delivering in this role
* Considerable industry experience
* Successful in winning bids
* Experience in the design management of live schemes and pre-construction activities
* Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales and deadlines
* Detailed understanding of BREEAM and BIM is preferable
Key Duties:
– Written word/content of any PQQ/tender submissions
– Support the tender team in bid submissions
– Monitor/record our PQQ/tender success rates
– Attend PQQ and bid meetings
– Interrogate the design and construction requirements for the bid

The Bid Writer will work alongside the Pre-Construction Manager and the Regional Bid Manager to submit profitable bids and establishing winning strategies for writing quality led tenders.
