Due to continuing expansion of workload our client has a new permanent vacancy for a Bid Writer. Suitable candidates will have previous experience in bid writing, preferably within construction. Our client is a well-known regional New Build and Refurbishment contractor who specialise in working on a range of projects within the Education, Leisure, Healthcare and Commercial sectors.

We are seeking a pragmatic individual who ideally has dealt with a range of Bid submissions; you will be able to demonstrate your ability to:

Write clear, focused and logical proposal material and other business development documentation.

Identify with the proposal team and operational teams, key issues and expectations and ensure that they are included in the proposal submission.

Liaise with contractors to ensure that all needs and requirements relating to the proposal are taken into account.

Duties will include:

Assisting the Estimating department at tender proposal stage.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, conduct testing and produce and maintain process documentation to ensure department processes are efficient and consistent with business and industry requirements.

Research, as required, information to identify trends, best practice, future requirements and potential new business opportunities and viability.

Search for PQQ and ITTs and on occasion to support strategic developments initiated by Commercial Management.

Design, coordinate and write proposal material for allocated projects/sections, ensuring consistency of style, content and message throughout the proposal and conformance to customer specification and the Companys commercial policy.

Candidates who have good administrative skills, excellent time-management and who are highly computer literate would be most suitable.
