Bid Manager (Medical / Healthcare)
The Practice Group is one of the county`s leading providers of NHS primary and community care. Established by their two GP directors in 2005, they deliver a supported and sustainable quality service for GP surgeries. They also provide a range of innovative community based services including Ophthalmology, ENT and Dermatology.
Position: Bid Writing / Project Manager
Location: Based in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire with some national travel
Salary: £Negotiable
ROLE:
Working as part of a busy and successful business development team, the Bid Manager will be responsible for completing (EoI) Expressions of Interests, (RFI) Requests for Information, PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), ITTs (Invitation to Tenders) providing supporting technical / compliance information for tender submissions and contributing towards improvements in the quality and success rate of the company submission process.
The individual will be expected to work individually and as part of the team, researching and understanding clients` requirements in respect of the submissions being made to ensure that all submissions are accurate, fully complete and issued within the timescales required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Coordinate and project manage the Bid Tender process
b) Identify daily opportunities via online client portals and tender notices
c) Retrieve EoI, RFI, PQQ, ITT and tender documentation from portals as identified, or as directed by Head of Bid and Tenders
d) Attend engagement events and feedback to team as necessary
e) Develop a good understanding of awarding authorities` vision, strategy and plans in order to maximise new business generation opportunities
f) Gather and develop information relating to re-tenders, specific tenders, relative projects and long term opportunities
g) Undertake and complete PQQ and ITT submissions and technical/compliance information to accompany tender bids and responses to expressions of interest
h) Complete submissions required to pre-set deadlines and/or as required by the Head of Bids and Tenders
i) Liaise with the commissioners regarding any clarifications or amendments to PQQ / ITT notices required
j) Ensure all bids are accurately completed and represent the company experience and abilities in the best possible way to secure the tender opportunity from the PQQ submission and/or contract when tendering
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of the NHS and Social Care industry; technical and tender process understanding a distinct advantage.
b) Proven track record of winning bid and tenders.
c) Understanding of the tender / bid process and awarding authorities` requirements.
d) Prince2 Foundation or Practitioner
e) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
f) Strong computer literacy and presentation skills; e.g. proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.
g) Highly motivated, flexible and adaptable approach to work. Ability to work individually, and as part of a team.
h) Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
i) An eye for detail, and a thorough and methodical approach.
