Salary: £54,000 – £58,800 per year
The Business
Part of a rapidly expanding, acquisitive and privately owned fleet management group,
The responsibilities of the Bid Manager
· The preparation and management of formal bid documentation submitted to Local Authorities, Utilities and Fleets
· Working with the management and business development teams to identify viable bidding opportunities
· Managing multiple concurrent complex bids and tenders
· Delivering professionally written proposal responses that clearly articulate their value proposition
· Compiling, co-ordinating and reviewing proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, ensuring the final response is compelling, consistent, compliant and clear, and that the submission reads with a “common voice”
· Understand and organise company governance data (finance, quality, Health and Safety, HR, risk, partnering) to ensure pre-qualification and bid submissions are efficiently prepared and successfully presented
· Produce the quality / technical documentation, in accordance with the clients’ requirements, and to a standard which results in as high a quality evaluation mark as possible, in conjunction with as competitive a price as possible
· Monitor and report to senior management on the quality and success of all submissions
· Monitoring tender notifications, building, and maintaining the Tender Library with the most up-to-date content and weekly and ad hoc reporting on tender status as required
The Candidate for Bid Manager
Experienced in producing high quality written and graphical sales / tender documentation
· Have the ability to work to tight deadlines, responding to urgent needs with composure and efficiency
· Have advanced experience of using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
· Is self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload.
Able to work in Blackpool at least 2 days per week
