Base Surveyor (Hyrdographic / Land)

My client is one of the largest marine science and technology groups who deal with seabed surveys, vessel management and met ocean studies. They are looking to bring in a base surveyor.
Role: Base Surveyor

Location: Great Yarmouth

Reporting directly to the Senior Office Surveyors and management team you will be working to tight time deadlines and making sure clients` needs are met.
One of your main responsibilities will be the preparation of line plans prior to survey commencement, supporting the vessels whilst the survey is on-going, and the collation of data and reports in the office. Your other main responsibility will be RTK (Real Time Kinematic) surveys, both land and moving baseline, dimensional control surveys whilst the vessel is in dry dock, and the mobilisation and calibration of vessel survey equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

– A recognised degree in Hydrographic or land surveying. (Other degrees with be taken in consideration.)
– Experience with survey equipment
– Survey software package experience would be an advantage.
– Must have good knowledge of HSE understanding.

Job requirements:

– Self-motivated
– must be able to work under pressure with little supervision.
– Perform data processing and prepare results using excel.
– Meeting with clients and understanding their needs and requirements.
