Band 4 Internal Auditor

Salary: £26,000 per year

Apple Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Band 4 internal auditor for our public sector client based in Armagh. The role is Starting ASAP until 31/3/22 initially with possible extensions and based in Armagh and includes audits covering Southern Trust Area.

The role is mon-fri 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week, £26,000 per year.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform internal audit work; under the supervision of an Audit Supervisor. The post holder is directly responsible to their Audit Manager and works to an Audit Supervisor during an audit assignment.

Service Delivery

* Performs routine, non-complex audit work as part of risk based audit assignments, under the supervision and direction of an Audit Supervisor. This includes: documentation of systems and processes; preparation of audit working papers; and performing and concluding on testing of systems and processes.

* Assists Audit Supervisors in drafting the audit report including documenting the issues, highlighting the risks associated with audit findings, and making useful, workable recommendations.

* On occasions, the Auditor will perform routine audit assignments with minimal supervision.

Essential Criteria:

1. Candidates must have Maths & English GCSE (Grade A to C) or equivalent.

1. Candidates must have a relevant university degree or possess an equivalent qualification eg Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland OR Candidates must have two years internal audit experience.
