Banana Ripener / Trainee Banana Ripener

A great opportunity for trainee or experienced banana ripener, to join a leading team. You will work closely under the supervision of the ripening managers to ensure the ripening programmes are followed as required for the business, and the end customer. You will be involved in stock management and will work closely with production to ensure customer orders are met.

The role

Learning the complete ripening process
Working closely with colleagues in production and quality control ensuring that programmes / orders are packed to specification
Be involved with fruit intake
Setting up the ripening rooms
Support the duty ripener with weekly planning
Daily and monthly stock control and stock reconciliation
The candidate

Good inter personal skills
Flexible approach to work, as the business work 7 days per week
Good IT skills
Willingness to learn and be developed
Ideally have worked in fresh produce before
