AV Field Technician (Events)

We are now looking for an Experienced AV Technician or Senior AV Technician in Live Events to join our clients team as soon as possible.
Our client are a small friendly and expanding company based in South East London, with a great team of people passionate about AV equipment, working hard and enjoying our jobs.

Your Duties
As one of the experienced AV Technicians or Senior AV Technicians, you will be responsible for Preparing & Checking & Loading equipment for events, Driving, Delivering and Setting-up AV Equipment, as well as Operating at Live Events, de-rigging and checking equipment back into the warehouse as well as testing, cleaning and maintaining equipment and the warehouse. As well as some administration tasks associated with delivery of equipment to clients.

You will need to be a responsible person, with good communication skills and a positive attitude, you should be able to talk with clients with confidence. You will work all across London with your colleagues – working for many and varied clients and different types of corporate and exciting events.

Essential
• You must have a minimum of 3 years AV Technician experience in the Live Events industry.
• Have a proven all round knowledge of AV including Lighting, Video, Projection, Switching and IT, ideally with a rigging qualification.
• You must have a clean European Driving Licence AND/OR been driving for a minimum of 2 years – you would need to be a confident driver and be able to drive a company van.
• You should have experience of delivering a high quality service to clients within the corporate market.
• Good IT skills
• Excellent client facing skills and good communication skills
• A good positive and happy attitude as well as a team player.
• Able to work on your own initiative and hardworking.
• Ability to work shifts.
• Ability to work under pressure and to resolve issues diplomatically and calmly.
• Ability to work some long hours on events when required due to the nature of the events industry.
• Proven Good knowledge of driving in Central London

• Working at height / Rigging qualification
• Line Management skills
• Managing and Co-ordinating Equipment and Events
• Managing stock in the warehouse
• Managing Events including quotes and Budgets
